Behind the Narrative
From ingredient selection to final pour, a closer look at the craftsmanship,
values, and intention behind every LUNOX candle.

Our Ingredients

Every fragrance oil gets tested for how it burns, not just how it smells in the bottle. Nothing in a LUNOX candle comes from an animal, and nothing gets tested on one. The wax and the oils have to earn their place in the jar, both need to hold up on their own and work together in the blend.

Craftsmanship & Small-Batch Production

Every candle is poured by hand in Germany, in batches small enough that I still know which pour each one came from. A new fragrance doesn't go into the shop until it's been burned, re-poured, and burned again, sometimes for weeks, until the throw is right and the wax pulls clean to the edge.

A More Considered Process

Testing a new fragrance means pouring the same jar over and over until the blend is right, so I keep the vessels from failed batches and reuse them instead of tossing a jar every time a formula doesn't work. It's not a big gesture, just fewer things thrown away for no reason.

More Than Fragrance

I don't start with a scent and figure out what to call it after. I start with the story, the two people in it, what's unresolved between them, and build the fragrance around that. The label, the card in the box, the name on the jar all come from the same world. It's less a home fragrance and more a way into a story you already have in your head.

Every jar starts with a story I couldn't stop thinking about.
